As a fan of NASCAR, where my loyalties lie with the driver or the manufacturer?
My grandfather was a Ford man, my father is a Ford, and if course I'm a Ford man. I love Ford and I am a big fan of Elliott Sadler. Well, Sadler went from a Ford to a Dodge, and I am choosing between Sadler or engage in a pilot Ford is different. I feel bad not rooting for Sadler, but I feel bad for welcoming a Dodge instead of a Ford. I was curious to know if there is a "real" NASCAR fans who have experienced the same problem. In addition, some you support a driver who drives a car that is not the manufacturer of the election? Example: You are a Chevrolet fanatic, but happiness Mark Martin (a Ford driver).
I share your pain, I am a Ford girl, born and raised. My father was a fervent supporter of Ford so I sometimes feel I am not behind him. But I also like Elliott Sadler and have been rooting for him. Whatever occurred in Yates was sad for us fans Ford, but I understand that Elliott and Dale had to do what they have done for their own careers. In fact, I'll root Dale Jarrett next year (oh my God!) A Toyota. For the same reason I'm not a big fan of Biffle, but slightly followed him, because he drives a Ford. I tend to make my decisions on intuition, and my loyalty to Ford and to encourage the boys in the Midwest. I was a big fan of AJ Foyt for Tony Stewart is my loyalty back in time because the USAC AJ is his favorite driver, sometimes acts like AJ, and Indiana. Now I'm going say - if you think about today's cars do not really have Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge is done (as when Ned Jarrett and Richard Petty led the family car for the track and was rotated). These are only esentially the same car with a name plate. Even the engines are similar to satisfy the NASCAR standards. The business support is not the same as that used to be, except perhaps for Evernham and Dodge. Nor Toyota is a car "foreign" anymore. Maybe it's my way of justifying the roots of Elliott or Ryan, but it seems make sense to me.
