Jeffery Brian Burton was born June 29, 1967. He is a native of South Boston, Virginia. Jeff Burton, sometimes referred to as 'JB', currently leads the # 31 Chevrolet Cingular for Richard Childress Racing. Also part-time racing the Busch Series. Jeff Burton is the younger brother of Ward Burton, driver of fellow Sprint Cup. Married to Kim Burton, who has two children, Paige and Harrison. He ran his first race of the Winston Cup in 1993 # 0 ICT Martoccia Phil Ford Financial. 1994 was rookie of the year in Winston Cup Burton. Drove # 8 Raybestos Ford for Stavola Brothers Racing. He had a season-high fourth in a way to win 1994 NASCAR Rookie of the Year.
Next year, in 1995, Burton had a top five, with a ninth place. He missed three races and finished 32 points. In 1996, Jeff Burton left Roush Stavola Brothers Racing.
